Modifications

Since its acquisition, it has and is currently undergoing a program of extensive improvements. This has involved improving the manoeuvrability by enlarging the rudder, a full refastening of the hull with 3500, 7 inch spike-nails using a sledge-hammer, new engine, keel shoe and anodes, watertight bulkheads to both the engine room and bow, new handrails, anchor handling systems, new mast and derricks and two auxiliary generators, extra water tanks, new bulwark planking. Other considerations have been made to provide divers with more facilities and to improve comfort. These include, bottle bench, kit bins, compressors and bank systems, new enlarged diving ladder with access gates, nitrox bank, bathrooms and showers, additional cabins and an enlarged galley. The comfort, reliability and seaworthiness was proven again last year when the boat was taken on a 5-month expedition over the arctic circle to Harstad in northern Norway!
